Room 1

There have been some major changes in Room 1 this year with last year's Year 6 students moving up to the Senior school. The class had been together for at least 3 years and the bonds of friendship were very strong.

This year's class is made up of year 4, 5 and 6 children. I am really impressed with the way the students have worked at getting along and co-operating with eachother. They are all keen to be involved in school activities and many of them volunteer for extra responsibilities that make the school function smoothly.

I continue to be challenged by the questions students ask, and appreciate the opportunity to be a learner alongside the class. What a great bunch they are!!!

Room 2

Hi. I am the teacher for our Year 7/8 class.  This year we have had the wonderful experience of moving into a brand new classroom. The children are thriving in their new environment, which includes great acoustic qualities and new furniture.  What a wonderful blessing for our senior students :-)

Room 3

Hi

I 've just joined the A-Team after moving across from Australia at the beginning of Term 4.

I am really enjoying the fantastic commuity atmosphere of our school.  After 13 years in the Queensland Education System this change has been great for me and my family.  It's the country life not far from the city!

Can't ask for more than that!

Debra Craig

Room 4

Welcome to Waioneke's Junior Room 4.  My name is Debra Craig and I have been teaching for over 25 years, 20 of these have been in management and senior management roles.  I am passionate about teaching and learning and believe that children should be active learners.  They need to understand what they are learning, why they are learning it and how to get better.  Literacy and Numeracy play a dominate role in my class programmes as do life and social skills.  I have taught in many different schools from as far south as Manurewa to Kerikeri in the north.

It is a pleasure to teach at Waioneke with great children, staff and communty.

Hi I've been at Waioneke since August 2007. You can find me in the new office.  I really enjoy coming to school and having so much variety in my day.. I never know what I will be doing or where I may be going with each new day.  I coach the Y 7/8 touch rugby team (who won the championship last year) and help out with a load of other sports aswell.  It is wonderful to be able to watch the kids grow into fabulous young ladies and gentleman.
